Abyssium is a gas heavier than air, found principally in Selyra, which rests upon the surface of water. It has an odour, and gives the area where it emerges a foggy and surreal look. If completely in the fog, a person would over time suffocate from lack of oxygen.
The Kingdom of Serendel has undertaken work to harness the gas and develop vessels capable of travelling beneath the waves.
