Hindal Greybeard was the first Sulvan Primarch to make diplomatic contact with the wider world. He was a founding signatory of the Union of the North, and sent his troops to fight alongside his Union allies in the Great Tellurian War.
In around 365, he and his family disappeared, gone like the old rockcarver Gerriock once had.[3] Various candidates from around the world competed for the succession, with the next Primarch eventually being Razkai of Razdis, selected in 373.[4] Razkai made efforts to discover what had happened to Hindal, losing several troops in the tunnels underneath Sulvan. It now tends to be assumed that Hindal and his family were early victims of the Balefrog, though they may also be associated with Gerriock.
