The Calorum Reformation is one of the principal and most activist denominations of the Lord of Fire faith.
The Reformation was established by Combulei Divinorum in the 330s after he received a vision of the Lord of Fire. The Reformation holds that Combulei and his bloodline have a unique power to interpret the will of the Lord, separate from but not exclusive of that of the Blazing Avatar. As such the High Priest of Calorum claims the authority to challenge the Blazing Avatar on points of doctrine.
For most of the later fourth century, after the assassination of the Avatar, the Reformation supported Brother Adam and the Blazing Temple, though by the time of his death it had thrown its support behind Greta Cardion Divinorum. Her disappearance prompted the search for a new Avatar, eventually determined as Nissa Rodilsignya in the 420s. The Reformation's previous support for Adam led to a denunciation of the faith by Lord Liam of Lyradis, although the High Priest disavowed responsibility for Adam's actions.
The Reformation maintains a Blazing Temple of its own in Caloxdur, where Nissa resided for her entire tenure as Avatar.
There are large numbers of Reformation followers in the Salterri Imperium, particularly within the Kingdom of the Carmine Sea, partly for historic and political reasons.
