After the Ash-Kingdom's emergence on the world stage, they immediately began a campaign of conquest, leading to the disastrous war with Alzeroth and later with the Kingdom of the Silver Moon. Ultimately the expansionist aims of the Dragon-Queen were unsuccessful, culminating in pressure on Tyarel to abdicate as soon as her heir Kara was of age. Upon Tyarel's retirement, she married her long-time lover and former General, Kyatris.
